Advocacy South West (Inc) seeks self
determination, inclusion and community
acceptance by upholding human rights and
social justice principles.
Our Objectives
Our organisation provides advocacy for people with disabilities and their families in the South West Region by:
Developing freely given advocacy relationships between individuals through Volunteer Advocacy Programme.
Providing individual issue-based advocacy as required.
Promoting self-advocacy by empowering individuals through programmes and activities.
Promoting attitudinal change in the community to one of acceptance of diversity and individual differences.
Promoting social inclusion.
Using Community Development strategies to build networks and develop social capital.
The Board of Management, staff and volunteers are committed to ensuring that the interests of people with a disability are recognised and acted upon.
